F
our April graduates of the seminary,
and one former student, were ordained
into the Order of the Presbyterate for the
Archdiocese of Detroit on Saturday, May
14, by Archbishop Allen Vigneron at the
Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament
in Detroit. The newest Sacred Heart priestgraduates are Fr. Paul Graney, Fr. Dominic
Macioce, Fr. Kevin Roelant, and Fr. Timothy
Wezner. Each earned a Master of Divinity
degree from the seminary and the graduatelevel Bachelor of Sacred Theology degree
conferred by Rome’s Pontifical University of
St. Thomas through Sacred Heart’s faculty.
Fr. David Tomaszycki was ordained for the Archdiocese of Detroit along with his brother alumni. He attended Sacred Heart’s
graduate school of theology before the archbishop assigned him
to study at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, where
he completed his Bachelor of Sacred Theology this spring.

FR. DAVID TOMASZYCKI
• Home parish: Immaculate Conception, Anchorville
• First Assignment: Returning to studies in Rome

As a regional seminary, Sacred Heart is educating and forming
future priests from across the state of Michigan and across the
country. Beside the Detroit ordinations, nine seminary graduates
have been ordained this spring for four other dioceses. That makes
a total of thirteen new priests from the Sacred Heart Class of 2016.
To all—God’s blessings on your new ministries.
