Oktoberfest Held the last Sunday in August , Pierz residents say , “ Willkommen !” ( welcome ) during their annual celebration of the city ’ s German heritage . The two-day celebration includes a parade , a fun run , a party in the park and the famous “ hidden medallion hunt .” Related events take place for a full week prior to the event .
St . Nick Night St . Nick Night is held in Pierz the first Wednesday in December . Pierz area merchants and residents celebrate the Feast of St . Nicholas in keeping with the city ’ s German heritage , with Christmas specials , Christmas music , visits with jolly old St . Nick and his reindeer and trolley rides through town .
