Campgrounds The campgrounds in Pierz adjoin the city ’ s golf course . The campground can accommodate 38 overnight campers with water and electrical hook-ups at each site . Five seasonal campground sites are available for a yearly rate . A bathroom , shower house and playground are on-site . Swimming is available complete with a beach and water slide . Tennis Courts Tennis courts located on the grounds of Pierz Healy High School are open to the public .
Ice Skating Rinks Legion Park , First Avenue Southwest and Summer Street
Boat Landing Pierz Fish Lake public access on Lake Road ( County Road 36 ). Pierz Fish Lake is two miles west of Pierz on Highway 27 . The lake is 170 acres , with a maximum depth of 34 feet . The water clarity is 6.5 feet . Pierz Fish Lake is open to the public with a concrete access landing on the lake ’ s west end .
Soo Line Trail The Soo Line Trail that runs through Eastern Morrison County is a 114-mile trail beginning at Saunders Junction , Wis . ( near Superior ). Parking is available on the east side of Highway 25 in Genola , just south of Pierz . From April 1 through Oct . 31 each year , the trail is open to pedestrians , bicyclists , horseback riders and all-terrain vehicles of both classes . From Dec . 1 through March 31 , provided there is adequate snow cover or three or more inches on the trail , it is open to snowmobilers and cross-country skiers . The trail runs southwesterly through Douglas County , Wis . and ends at Highway 10 near Royalton . This scenic route includes a mix of woods , farmland , and trestle crossings on the Kettle River and Birch Creek and includes the Northern Pine Riders ATV Trail . The Soo Line Trail connects with the 148-mile Soo Line West ATV Trail , southwest of Moose Lake .
