Little Falls , population 9,140 , is the county seat for Morrison County . The Historic Courthouse and a large County Government Center are located in the center of the city .
The city is home to St . Gabriel ’ s Hospital , the Family Medical Center and Little Falls Orthopedics .
Also found in the city are the Carnegie Library , parks , playgrounds and museums , including Linden Hill , the Charles A . Weyerhaeuser Museum and the Minnesota Fishing Museum and Hall of Fame , and The Pine Grove Zoo . Little Falls has a rich history dating back to before the time Minnesota became a state . Lindbergh , the famous aviator , called Little Falls home .
Lindbergh State Park is named for Charles Lindbergh ’ s father , Charles August Lindbergh , Sr . The park features miles of hiking , biking and snowmobile trails along the banks of the Mississippi River . The Lindbergh Historic Site is the location of the aviator ’ s boyhood home and a museum dedicated to Lindbergh ’ s life . The high school and middle school teams , known as the Flyers , are also named in Lindbergh ’ s honor .
