some construction noise , traffic and some blasting . The Santa Clara Valley Water District will do everything possible to minimize these disruptions .
All of this information was distributed and discussed at a community meeting on January 22 , 2013 at the Community Cultural Center . In the near future the Santa Clara Valley Water District will select one of the six options , obtain approval from the Water Board and proceed with formal planning and environmental reviews . Actual construction is scheduled to begin in 2016 , with completion in 2019 .
At dates yet to be announced , the Water District will schedule more community meetings to keep the citizens of Morgan Hill up to date on the plans and progress of this $ 185 million project .
A representative from the Water District , Frank Maitski says :
“ We want to get it done and done right .”
