Built in 1900 , this 3,000 + square foot home sits on over 35 acres and just exudes character . Every inch of this 3 bedroom , 2 ½ bathroom home , with a full basement , is unique . They just don ’ t make them like this anymore . Most ranch style Victorians have been remodeled to the point that they do not resemble the original design . Not here . From the beautiful dark wood accents around the doors and windows to the paintings on the walls ( beautiful water colors painted by Paul ’ s great aunt , E . Grace Ward and pen & ink drawings by Paul ’ s grandfather ) this home exudes originality and warmth .

Although the home is pretty much the original size , there is a small sun room addition off the kitchen that was built at a later time . The only other major renovations over the years have included the inclusion of indoor plumbing and updating the kitchen . Recently , Paul had the front steps repaired and the entire home painted .
The home ’ s owner , Paul Ward ( 90 ) purchased the family home in 1973 from the family estate . His two sons were already grown at the time so he moved in with his late wife Ann . The home had been in Paul ’ s family since it was built . His great grandparents moved to the Morgan Hill area in 1894 , from South Dakota . Paul ’ s father was born in 1896 , in a house that sits just a few hundred yards away from the Oak Glen Farm . Paul was raised just down the road
