SR PORTSMOUTH

WHATS HAPPENING?

SR Portsmouth recently enjoyed an 8 week programme of Music and creative writing followed by an evening fundraising event containing music written within the group, street musicians and individuals’ readings of some amazing poetry.

We also enjoyed having the "open Mic" section of the evening in order for individuals to present and share their music or creative writing talents. A very enjoyable evening was had by all with valuable funds raised in order to offer even more opportunities to our participants. Thanks to our Volunteer Facilitators Kieran, Andy and Dan.

We have recently enjoyed playing friendly games locally and look most forward to meeting the Hampshire Visually Impaired Football Club in November to partake in another friendly game.

With thanks to our Volunteer football Co-Ordinator Aaron for all the opportunities he is creating for us to enjoy playing in local friendlies and tournaments outside of the city.

We have recently begun to enjoy playing Badminton and are looking most forward to visiting our SR Oxford community for our first friendly game. Thanks to our Volunteer Badminton Co- Ordinator Ricky for facilitating our group.

SR Portsmouth recently enjoyed "Beach Fishing". We were delighted to enjoy a visit from our SR Basingstoke Community to fish with us in Portsmouth. We were blessed with good weather and a reasonable catch of some fine fish. With thanks to our Volunteer facilitators Brian and Mick for an enjoyable day had by all.
