WHAT'S
HAPPENING?
The OXFORD Social Inclusion Cup
On Thursday 10th October 2013, WORLD HOMELESS ACTION DAY and WORLD MENTAL HEALTH AWARNESS DAY, 12 teams from all over the county and beyond, some as far as Dorset, played in the OSIC football tournament at Oxford City FC, Marsh Lane, Oxford. Thanks to the INSPORT programme for their contribution to make it happen. It was a great day with lots of sunshine, smiles and good football! Well done to everyone who took part and congratulations to Streets Revolution Oxford Team A who were runners up. And a big thank you to all the volunteers who helped on the day and especially to Pat Green from Tesco on the Cowley Road for all the wonderful fruit.
SR Portsmouth recently enjoyed taking part in the OSIC. It was great to be part of such a great day for recovery.
One of our participants quoted "how good he felt to be taking part in the tournament,
getting out of the City makes me feel I can just be myself and not be a "patient" but a part of a team of like-minded people, just enjoying a day of my favourite pastime - watching and playing football".
A huge congratulations to QUAY FOYER from Poole, who won the trophy this year.
