Like I stated, I only had limited time at the show, so whatever would be hard to see away from the show got priority. Eventually, the Nissan Titan will be on the roads, so I did not have to worry about getting close to it. But I knew I would not have many chances to see the Nissan GT-R Nismo. GT-R Nismo: The R35 Godzilla stormed the world whenever it was introduced as a MY2008 car. Over the years, the car received numerous upgrades and variants, and today, we have the wildest version yet. More power, better handling, and a higher price tag help define the Nismo. Disclosure: I’m not a fan of Fiat s sold in America at the moment. Why? Because all they focus on (and all that American consumers seem to care about) is the 500, along with the ‘larger’ 500 variants. Fiat, I’m waiting for the European cars to come here! And can we please get Abarth as its own brand here? Abarth 500: Yes, it’s a tad expensive. But it’s meant to be different. This is the closest one can get to a Ferrari under US$50,000. When you think of it that way, is it so bad anymore? But I would like more variants, such as the 595 and 695. Chevrolet was extremely crowded around the Corvette Stingray and Camaro Z/28. I tried to film and photograph the Z/28, but that did not work out too well, being that the cars were open for people to sit in. Corvette Z06: The C7 Corvette made headlines for looks, performance, and an interior that was not as cheap. The Z06 is now here, and for under US$100K, a buyer can buy a Corvette that rivals the likes of the GT-R Nismo and McLaren 650S. Unfortunately, I was not able to catch the Toyota Mirai, the questionablystyled FCV. However, I finally got to see the FT-1 concept in person. The FT-1 raises this unlikely question for America: will we get the vehicle as a Lexus? I sure hope not. Also, Toyota had their own Oculus Rift demo running. Unfortunately, it was a teen safe driving simulator. The car used was a Toyota Camry, both inside the headset and the car itself. The car’s steering wheel and brakes controlled the simulator, and let’s just say it wasn’t very realistic, even though I did not run into anything.
