Due to the dramatic cut in funding lines and intense competition, contributing
to the submission of a proposal selected for funding is rewarding for the team.
We constantly look at ways to improve the quality of proposals and to support faculty as they learn
new methods, try new approaches, and build stronger research teams,” said Majeske. “Finding ways to
creatively market the need for proposed research can be challenging. Receiving a positive review fuels our
focus to be competitive, even when funding is tight, and provides the motivation to get started on that next
revision. At MSU this is our purpose, to increase research opportunities and discover solutions for our most
challenging health problems.”
