EXPANDING
EXPANDING THE ARRAY OF GRADUATE CLINICAL PROGRAMS
Experience, passion, and leadership: these three characteristics
embody MSU College of Nursing’s first Doctorate of Nursing
Practice (DNP) cohort. This past fall, they gathered on campus
during a four-day intensive to launch their academic journey into
the College’s newest degree.
During the intensives, DNP students attended classroom sessions,
met with major professors and academic advisors, participated
10
in professional development sessions with faculty, and networked
with student peers in both the DNP and PhD programs. Having
made valuable connections with the people with whom they will
be studying throughout the program, they have returned to their
home communities to pursue interactive coursework online until
next semester’s on-campus intensive.
