Every so often, it’s important to check in and get a spiritual
gut check on how far you’ve come on your journey.
Whether you believe or not, there are beings in the higher
realms who watch over us and ocassionally nudge us along
- especially when we go far afield. Ultimately, their goal
is that we are able to live freely and with all the concious
wisdom and interconnectedness available in the higher
realms. That being said, this particular meditation is a
powerful one to help you check in with Archangel Uriel –
the keeper of mystical secretes and wisdom.
Connecting with one of the Archangels is a powerful
experience. Before starting, you want to make sure you
are in a quiet and comfortable place. If you are sitting up,
make sure your spine is straight. If you need to lie down,
do so with your knees bent to prevent stiffness in your back
from interrupting your session.
Turn off the phone, dim any lights and get rid of anything
else that may distract you. Make sure you will not be
disturbed for at least 30 minutes and that your surroundings
will remain serene and peaceful.
Begin by taking in several deep cleansing breaths. Feel the
cool, clean air as it enters your body and flows deep into
your lungs. This is fundamental to quieting your mind and
getting rid of ego distractions. Focus only on the sensation
of your breathing as it enters and leaves your body.
Concentrate on the sound of my voice and your breathing…
let everything else fall away.
If you get distracted, tell those thoughts they are not
important and you can think about them at some other
time. Return again to focus on your breathing… in…and…
out. Pull the breath in as far as you can – all the way down
into your belly so it refreshes and nourishes your entire
body. Exhale and force the warm air from your lungs, taking
with it all the waste products your body needs to shed.
Now begin focusing on each part of your body working from
the top down. Beginning with your head, start relaxing the
muscles in your face…let the strain and stress drain away.
Feel them flow down your neck and shoulders, through
your arms, trunk and down your legs. Finally, release all
the accumulated tension into Mother Earth where it can be
