It’s time! Clear as day the message came. Though it’s been a blustery
winter, it was one of the more pristine and picturesque ones in t’s been a
blustery winter thanks to El Nino and we’ve had lots of snow in the Rockies.
Today is one of the most pristine days in quite a while – snow covered
landscape with beautiful lace agate blue skies and a clear view to city
center. That’s when I saw them… two beautiful birds of prey… one hawk
and the other a beautiful eagle, circling right over my head riding the tepid
swells of the sunlit day as high as possible.
It’s time. The words, though imprinted in the moment, there wasn’t time
to do much more than take a mental note. Reaching the destination, my
thoughts immediately pulled the totem note out of its file and splashed it in
front of my eyes. It’s time…
It’s about trusting intuition and perception of things as they show up.
Foresight is useful for knowing who or what might be throwing obstacles
onto the path. When you’re able to see the big picture, you can certainly
scope out conditions ahead, as well as what may be hiding around the next
bend. Hawk and Eagle are clear-eyed and both have sharp focus. Their wide
frame of reference allows for preparation. When bird of prey medicine is at
work there is no second guessing… everything is sharp and crystal clear.
It means that procrastination must be dealt with swiftly… this medicine
doesn’t allow for wasted time… whatever it is needs to be dealt with
quickly and without hesitation.
