And yes you may find it a little scary, but sooner or later
you’re going to realize the importance of really knowing
yourself from all angles. Let go of your fears.
Surrender control – I can’t repeat this one enough – let go.
You’ve got to just be open and go with the flow of things
as they unfold. Hopefully, you’ve done a great deal of work
over the past year. If you haven’t, there’s no time like the
present to take the first step.
You’re going to need to get in front of a mirror. It doesn’t
have to be fancy, but you are going to want your privacy –
this is very important and treat it as such. When you first
focus on the gaze looking back, you’re going to be tempted
to look away.
Take a deep breath and put your eyes front again.
Whatever it takes is what it takes. Don’t let yourself be
discouraged. Practice makes perfect - just keep doing it
until you can make eye contact. It’s not about how many
wrinkles are on the face. In this intimate setting, no one
cares about double chins, stray hairs or any other such
nonsense.
