crai ntes de Claude, en l’aidant à se calmer. Elles étaient si attentives
aux émotions des patients… Un gros plus. »
Selon Claude, il n’aurait pas pu mieux tomber qu’à Lachine.
« J’espère ne pas avoir à revenir, mais si ça devait arriver, je sais que je
serais accueilli à bras ouverts. » M
“The nurses and the staff are so devoted, so patient and respect-
and take the time to talk to you. It means everything for a patient.”
Lise adds that the nurses were quick to act when they had to,
and with heart and energy. “They were so great at easing Claude's
discomfort and fear and at helping him to stay calm—they were
just so attentive to his emotional state. It was a huge plus.”
In Claude’s opinion, he couldn’t have ended up in a better place
than Lachine. “I hope I am never in the situation where I need to go
back,” he says, “but if it should happen that way, I know that I'll be
welcomed with open arms.” M

14 octobre au restaurant Barbie’s de Dorval. Les billets coûtent 15 $ et
peuvent être utilisés le jour de l’événement ou au cours des trois mois

music and massage therapy. The Lachine Hospital Foundation
also contributes on a regular basis and recently furnished a family
room in the Palliative Care Unit. Each year, the Foundation or-
ganizes a fundraising breakfast with all the proceeds directed to
the unit. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, October 14th
at Barbie’s Restaurant in Dorval. Tickets are $15 and can be used
the day of or in the three months following the event. To purchase
