Vietnam named among fastest growing economies in 2020s

The 2020s are set to be the Asian decade, including Vietnam, with
sustained growth rates of around 7%, according to Bloomberg. The
service said that during the 2020s Asia will dominate an exclusive
list of economies expected to sustain growth rates of around 7%.
India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Myanmar and the Philippines should all
meet the benchmark of 7% growth rate.
Phu My Hung to sell The Peak next week

Phu My Hung Development Corporation said this week it would
launch the second phase of The Peak on May 25th following the
successful first phase at the end of the first quarter. The Peak, the
last project in Phu My Hung Midtown, is being developed in the
district of Phu My Hung City Center, with the first phase comprising
four buildings and the second having towers between 13 and 30
stories high.

Property market still attractive in medium, long terms: forum

An insider has predicted a good outlook for the property market in the medium and long terms
despite signs of decline in recent months. At a forum in Hanoi on May 16, Chairman of the Vietnam
National Real Estate Association (VNREA) Nguyen Tran Nam said real estate companies listed in
the stock market have recorded some drops in their revenue and profit. Though the Government
has been making efforts to create an open and healthy business environment, there haven’t been
any strong improvements, according to enterprises.
Deputy Prime Minister urges approval of Sa Pa Airport plan

Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung has asked the Ministry of Transport to approve a detailed
plan for Sa Pa Airport in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai. Earlier the provincial
People’s Committee submitted a proposal to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, seeking approval to
build the airport under a public-private partnership.
