BUSINESS
Saturday 24 January is the next clean-up day in the
adopt-a-spot roadside initiative along the PortSouth Hedland Road, in an effort to tackle the issue
of roadside litter in our community. This month we
are targeting the area opposite the entrance to the
South Hedland Cemetery (bike path area). Starting
at 7.00am, this is a great activity for all the family,
friends and work colleagues to get involved in and a
yummy sausage sizzle is provided at the end of the
clean-up.
When: Saturday 24 January,

Wear: Appropriate shoes, clothing,
hat & sunscreen

COOKING UP A STORM
Comedian and Author Xavier Toby will entertain the
audience with his insight into what life is really like
on a mine site, based on his own FIFO experience
and recently published book 'Mining my own
business'. Bookings essential as places are limited.

HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES WEEK 2 SAND ART
Organised by Frontier Services, this cooking
demonstration happens on the last Friday of every
month. A person from a different country or culture
cooks each month and participants are treated to
a lesson in different cuisine and a taste of what has
been prepared. We are always looking for cooks to
help out too!
