5.22. Scarce Natural Resources
Pressure to gain access to valuable natural resources (such as oil, gas,
minerals, and water resources) located on military installations, within
military training areas, or on public lands historically used for military
operations can impact resource utilization and military operations.
Increasing development surrounding military installations will continue to
compete with the need for naturally limited resources, such as water, oil,
gas, minerals, and scenic / recreational assets. Continual development
around the military installation could reduce the available supply of these
finite resources.
There were no issues identified for Scarce Natural Resources in this JLUS.
