Since New Jersey ’ s film tax credit program was reinstated by �overnor Phil Murphy , the sight of film crews working away in local settings has become increasingly common . And with Montclair within the distance from midtown Manhattan considered by New York City-based unions as “ local ,” the town sees more than its share of activity . The �e�� ���� The ����� �h���er� , alimited dramedy series starring �ERREN�E �OWARD , �A�E D���S and RE��NA �A�� now streaming on Peacock , was partially filmed on Bloomfield Avenue and at Montclair State �niversity . And ����e ��o , aromantic comedy featuring D�ANE �EA�ON , W����A� �� �A�� , SUSAN SARANDON and R���ARD �ERE that premiered the end of January , was shot mostly inMontclair . With filming on Edgemont Road and at The �eorge and MC �otels , local viewers can play “ I ’ ve been there ” as they watch the story unfold .

Comedian and former ����rd�� ���h� ���e cast member �E�E DA��DSON recently stopped byBloomfield pilgrimage site �O�S�EN�S , aplace that has had many icons grace its booths . “ �e ’ s afan of good food , good ice cream and The �o�r��o� ,” �olsten ’ s general manager �arl Schneider says , referencing the booth where the final scene of the classic �BO drama was filmed . “ �e ’ s areally nice guy . �etook care of the staff very well .” Schneider says Davidson came inatabout 9p . m . and was very friendly . Schneider then posted about the visit on the �olsten ’ s Facebook page . In the photo , Davidson posed for aphoto in the ice cream parlor ’ s phone booth , after he and Schneider agreed he wasn ’ t a “ Tony Soprano booth picture guy .” Since the finale of The �o�r��o� aired , �olsten ’ s has been apopular spot for taking pictures as well asgetting ice cream .
