ENJOY THE VIEW After living all over the world together, McCaffrey and DiRuggiero were always drawn back to Montclair. On their @montclair.newjersey Instagram account, they share their love for “home” by curating photos that celebrate the area. engaged in our followers’ posts, DMs and comments; the whole reason behind running this account is to create a community space for the residents by the residents. We always wished there was an account that outlined everything happening in Montclair, and since it didn’t exist, we created it. I think everyone who lives or visits here is in awe of how special, funky, fun and unique Montclair is, and we all always want to see what’s going on in places we haven’t maybe been to yet. out the Montclair Film Festival and indulge in the country’s greatest Taylor ham, egg and cheeses at Hot Bagels Abroad. What are some of your favorite things to do in and around Montclair? Get in a great and we love it. Since we own two local businesses and are on the alumni council of our high school in town, we buzz around workout at Corefire, of course! They must go to Brookdale Park, go to Church St. and check out Bellevue Theatre (when it’s back up and running). What does a typical day in your week look like? We work seven days a week Montclair 24/7, but we absolutely love what we do. No two days are the same, and it keeps us on our toes. Typically we wake up, workout at Corefire, get a coffee from Java Love, head back to our office in Upper Montclair, go out on real estate showings in town (or inspections and closings), and then walk our pups before ordering in from Dai Kichi. Other days we spend filming “Montclair Mavens” — a new Instagram show that interviews industry trailblazers and mavens from town. Other days, we spend locked in front of our computers, on Excel or doing administrative tasks. It really can vary. ■ MONTCLAIR MAGAZINE SPRING 2020 15
