SAMIYAH ABUBAKR and CHRISTEL BURRELL, both members of the Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey chapter of the organiza- tion, were chosen from thousands of applicants to grace the packages. Samiyah appears on the new Lemon-Ups cookie package, while Christel is featured on the Thin Mints box. Christel (left in photo), a freshman at The College of New Jersey in Ewing Township, was asked to help with the younger girls during the photoshoot, and ultimately became part of it. Abubakr, a junior in high school, says, “I sent in my photos without much belief that they would select me. My acceptance makes me believe I am capable of achieving many things.” LOCAL FACES ON NATIONAL COOKIE BOXES WE INSTALL North Caldwell NEW JERSEY BOY IN TOWN Over the years, actor JOHN ROCHETTE has played a vari- ety of roles in over 3,000 per- formances of Jersey Boys, the insanely popular musical about the Four Seasons that is now the 12th longest-running Broadway show in history.
