Cornerstone is a concept as well as a physical location: The bright and cheerful space on the corner of Bellevue and Northview avenues is home to busi- nesses and initiatives “committed to empowering people of all abilities to be included as active participants in the vibrancy of Montclair.” Among its current occupants are The Inclusive Movement Center, Arts Unbound, Creative Speech Solutions and a toy store called Sunshine Sam’s that specializes in battery-operated and screen-free toys. Cornerstone has a multi-purpose 440-square-foot community room that may be rented for events and activities; an old-fashioned general store with penny candy and gifts will open in April. 198 Bellevue Ave., (973) 337-2388, cornerstonemontclair.com • 12 SPRING 2018 MONTCLAIR MAGAZINE It’s always nice to work out in an environment that pumps you up with energy.
