Philip Echo , D . M . D ., of The Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Implantology , has two goals when it comes to treating his patients . First , he strives to provide the utmost quality of care in oral surgerybyutilizing acombination of his expertise and state-ofthe-art equipment . Second , heaims to deliver the most personal care to his patients toput them at ease . The Center boasts a newly remodeled facility featuring a CS 9300 3D imaging system . This system has revolutionized diagnostic capabilities as well as patient treatment . Traditional two dimensional x-rays can often be misleading , and the CS 9300 virtually eliminates the ambiguities found in them . Dr . Echo performs the majority of procedures in-office , which consists of extracting wisdom and other teeth , and dental implants . Dental implants allow patients to return to normal eatingafter tooth loss . Insituations where there is also bone loss present , Dr . Echo performs bone generation grafting to build a foundation to support the implants .
Upon arrivalatDr . Echo ’ soffice , patients aregreeted by name by awarmand inviting staff . Waitingand treatment rooms are equipped with music , television and friendly faces , all designed to relax patients and make thedentalexperience apositive and comfortable one . Dr . Echooffers his patients multiple sedation options , from local to general anesthesia and several in between . He is an avid , award-winning photographer and his office is filled with many of his own photographs , giving it the feel of an art gallery rather than a dental office .
Dr . Echo was educated at St . Peter ’ sCollege and the University ofMedicine and Dentistry ofNew Jersey ( now Rutgers School of Dental Medicine ). He completed his surgical training at University Hospital in Newark and has been in private practice since 1993 . Currently , Dr . Echo is Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Mountainside Hospital and is on Attending Staff for its Residency program . He is also on staff at Clara Maas Hospital . The Center offers evening and weekend hours and Dr . Echo isalways available to his post-operative patients and for emergencies .
