The homeowners have an impressive art collection , he says , so the paintings displayed on the walls , usually modern in style , change from time to time . The fixture ’ s drum shade , in place of individual shades for the lights , lends a touch of the modern . The table is a reproduction of a Spanish design from the 18th century .
