In September , the Jill E . Harrington Hanzalik ( JEHH ) Memorial Fund held a Sneaker Sioree at the Glen Ridge Country Club . The guestlist included Brooklyn Nets GM Sean Marks and head coach SteveNash , as well as players Blake Griffin , Bruce Brown and Joe Harris . Also in attendance were the Washington Wizards ’ Spencer Dinwiddie , New York Liberty ’ s Sabrina Ionescu and PGA golfer Jason Dufner , among others .

kind of exploded .” At the time , Durant played for the Oklahoma City Thunder , who summarily hired Harrington as their team shooting coach for the 2014-15 season . Then , three years after Harrington joined the Nets , Durant followed suit .
When the Harringtons were preparing to move from Oklahoma City to the New York area , Adam recalls , “ We had some mutual friends who lived in this Montclair-Glen Ridge area , so we had visited before and just absolutely loved it .” He now views Glen Ridge as his second hometown , and says that their five-year stay in town is the longest the family has ever lived in one place . “ And if you ’ re from here , you know — if you drive down Ridgewood or Forest Avenues , you ’ re like ,‘ Wow , this is something out of a movie ,’” he says .
The same could be said of Harrington ’ s journey . ■
