SETTING THE SCENE
(Clockwise from top left) The dining room’s sparkly lighting fixture matches the silver branch-
shaped candle-holders that sit atop the red velvet table runner. Tufted velvet chairs with nail heads
provide comfortable seating. Looking down the table towards the marble-surrounded fireplace,
we see porcelain shell-shaped ornaments. The artwork by Kaiser Suidan that is affixed to the wall
is made of glazed ceramic spheres of gunmetal, white gold and bronze, and was curated by Forrest
Scott Group art consultants. Puryear picked up the ornaments displayed in front of the Roman
shades at Pottery Barn. Everything is in its place, ready for the festivities to begin. “Ever since I was
a little kid, I’ve wanted to have the whole family together at the same time,” she says. “It’s a real
Christmas.” ■
