GATHERING-PLACE
The library, which faces
the street, was originally
part of a wraparound porch.
Five years ago, the Laceys
hired Elaine Anderocci, of
Elaine Anderocci Interiors in
Oldwick, N.J., to transform
what had become a play
area into an elegant space.
Despite its old-world
ambiance, the room has
become a gathering place
for the family, where they
can watch TV together, and
the kids can study for tests.
“Now it’s the most used
room in the house, where
Comanche sits on the
couch and looks out the
window,” says Lacey. At
right, Comanche naps on
the front porch beneath
the stars, both real and
decorative. ■
