CHERRY BLOSSOMS IN WINTER brings
springtime color to Newark’s Branch Brook
Park months ahead of schedule. Organized by
Montclair resident Fran Bartkowski, this closing
event of Newark’s 350th anniversary celebration
launches on December 1 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
at the park’s visitors center, 115 Clifton Ave. in
Newark. It will feature over two dozen bare
trees festooned with yarn, crystals, fabric and
more in the cherry blossom color palette. The
