Organized by Montclair resident Fran Bartkowski, this closing event of Newark’s 350th anniversary celebration launches on December 1 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the park’s visitors center, 115 Clifton Ave. in Newark. It will feature over two dozen bare trees festooned with yarn, crystals, fabric and more in the cherry blossom color palette.
