‘ WEAR ’ YOUR WEDDING GOWN FOR YEARS
The KEELY & CO . website shows dozens of necklaces featuring pendants fashioned from pretty fabrics , but it ’ s the custom order options that make the company stand out . Customers send fabric from beloved wedding dresses , uniforms , ties , blankets and other possessions that carry sentimental value , and Montclair resident JEAN KEELY DABROWSKI , the site ’ s owner and operator , incorporates it into pendant necklaces , bracelets , rings , earrings and artworks . Visitors click on the Custom Orders & Inspiration Portfolio option to interact with Dabrowski . “ I ask the client to send me apicture of the fabric , and Iprovide suggestions on how it will look bestprior to production ,” she says . Clients entrust her with 3-inch by 3-inch swatches , which she fashions into keepsakes that can include monogramming and protective glass covering the fabric . Necklaces may be made with sterling silver , wood and lockets . Turnaround takes about a week ; the average cost of a necklace is $ 20- $ 25 . • jean @ keelyandco . com , ( 201 ) 600-0577 , keelyandco . com

TV SHOW FOR TWEENS HAS LOCAL ROOTS
David Schoner believes in the power of telling stories onscreen . In his day job , he ’ s the associate director of the NEW JERSEY MOTION PICTURE AND TELEVISION COMMISSION in Newark . In his spare time , he ’ s a filmmaker who , over the summer , shot ARTHUR FUTURO , a half-hour pilot ( so far ) about a middle school kid who catches a glimpse of the future , and scrambles in the present to changeit . As aCedar Grove Board of Education member familiar with arranging shoots at New Jersey locations , Schoner used Memorial Middle School , Cedar Grove High School , a private home in Cedar Grove and Verona Park as settings . His company , Great Mustachio Filmworks ( inspired by his signature facial hair ), has financed the project through the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo , with an original budget of $ 15,000 ; he is currently seeking a distributor , and hopes to turn his story into a series . “ Content for tweens isn ’ t usually serialized ,” he says . “ It ’ s one show and done . Arturo Futuro has smart jokes but is alittle serious . It can ’ t be Stranger Things — that ’ s made for adults . You don ’ t want to scare them so much , but they ’ re mature enoughtodeal with certain issues .”
