MONTCLAIR JAZZ FESTIVAL
It wasahot night in more ways than oneatthe Montclair Jazz Festival, held from noon, Saturday, August 13 until threats of lightning shut it down prematurely in the evening. Thousands of avid jazz fans listened to multiple performers including the Jazz House FacultyCollective and the Jazz House Big BandfeaturingLouisPrima, Jr. Asin recent years, mistress of ceremonies S. Epatha Merkerson presided over the music, food and fun.

YOGI BERRA MUSEUM & LEARNING CENTER’ S SPORTS BUSINESS ACADEMY
Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center held its fifth annual Sports Business Academy in August, with Jean Afterman, Senior Vice President and Assistant General Manager of the New York Yankees, as one of the guestspeakers. The event is designed for high school and college students interested in a career in sports.
