Even as home prices level off throughout the country and the state as interest rates climb , Montclair remains a hotbed for REAL ESTATE ACTIVITY . Local agents say it ’ s because the town continues to be popular with New York City professionals who have learned about it from friends who moved here and praise its diversity , culture and energy . Short supply drove Montclair ’ s median sale price to anew record of �1.2 million inJune , despite a median asking price of ��2� , 000 , which was 33� over June 2021 , according to Montclair real estate �rm Stanton Company .
Another reason for the high prices : new listing inventory in Montclair has been low over the past several years , and empty-nesters have been sitting tight , contemplating their next move , according to Rich Stanton , a broker and the company ’ s owner . But if they choose to sell , appreciation is still high . A2,300-square-foot home bought for ��05,000 in 201� sold this spring for �1.1�� million .

Saneski and Ko take inspiration from pop culture , the seasons , their travels and New Jersey .
