Aboard-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon , Dr . Renata V . Weber has been practicing nerve , hand and reconstructive plastic surgery for over twenty years . She graduated from New York University School of Medicine in 1994 , and she completed aplastic surgery residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine before completing her fellowship training in hand , peripheral nerve and microsurgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St . Weber ’ spractice , Multi Disciplinary Specialists ( MD Specialists ,) is located in Clifton and treats all types of reconstructive plastic surgery conditions and specializes in hand and forearm injuries such as fractures , joint injuries , nerve and tendon lacerations , degenerative conditions such as tendonitis and arthritis , and peripheral nerve conditions ( such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome , Cubital Tunnel Syndrome , Thoracic Outlet Syndrome , and Migraine Surgery ). She treats patients of all ages – from newborns , young children and teens to adults and the elderly . Inaddition to being ahand surgeon , Dr . Weber sub-specializes in complex nerve conditions and peripheral nerve injuries throughout the body . She is involved with advancing her specialty with clinical research and is site director of amulti-center clinical trial using human cadaveric nerve grafts for repairing nerve injuries with significant gaps . She is one of ahandful of surgeons in the area who is experienced at performing nerve transfers ; a technique to repair paralyzed limbs due to severed nerves by splicing portions of healthy nerve to the injured ones to retore motion and feeling .
Dr . Weber has published extensively in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented her research at national conferences to which she belongs . She strives to carve out time from her busy practice to work on clinical research aimed at improving patient care .
