No one can say exactly how this
Back to School season will unfold,
but it’s safe to predict that it will
be like no other.
If there’s one thing that reporting on our
town shows us, though, it’s that the creativity
of our friends and neighbors is unstoppable,
no matter what challenges get thrown their
way. Our cover subject, MHS ’06 grad Daryn
Carp, isAndy Cohen’s longtime assistant, but
she also hosts several web series and podcasts,
including Martinis &Murder and Another Shot. Montclair
realtors reclaim and reimagine aFairway Section midcentury
modern. And Glen Ridge resident and muralist Andrew
Tedesco has created a line of hand-painted golf club drivers.
Glen Ridge’s Mark Hoebee, who is the producing artistic
director of Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, doesn’t let
COVID-19 prevent him from reaching theater-lovers virtually;
he’s run education and summer conservatory programs, and
content is streamed regularly on Facebook and Youtube.
For readers who miss taking full advantage of dining out
options, we asked chef Peeraya Kaboonyom of Kai Yang
to share some signature recipes. You can read them in
“Do Try this at Home.”
