The team at Clifton Endodontics also includes Dr. Shalini Tewary and Dr. Ronald Deblinger.
Dr. Tewary, who graduated from Boston University School of Dental Medicine and
completed her endodontic training at UMDNJ, says, “Having practiced as a general dentist
for seven years, I can offer a comprehensive perspective of our patients’ needs.” She is a
Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Drs. Elfenbein and Deblinger both
completed their specialty training at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to that,
Dr. Elfenbein completed a general practice residency at Yale New Haven Hospital after
graduating from Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dental Medicine. He completed
his specialty training at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Elfenbein is director of
endodontics and the chairperson of specialty services in the general practice residency
program at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.
“Our growing practice is proof that people still prefer to retain their natural teeth when
possible,” says Dr. Tewary. Dr. Elfenbein and his team continue to educate dentists on the
subject of clinical endodontics on a local, state and national level. Dr. Elfenbein adds that
“the most rewarding part of my day is when a patient tells me that they didn’t feel a thing!”

JOSEPH MASON III, DMD HAS BEEN IN PRACTICE AT THE SAME LOCATION IN THE
Historic Section of Upper Montclair for the past 34 years. He has
had most of the same wonderful staff for about as long and he
“attributes much of the office’s success to the hard work and
dedication of my co-workers.” Dr. Mason and his staff strive every
day to provide their patients with the best dental care by blending
technology with years of clinical experience in a warm and friendly
environment. This philosophy is shared by his partner, Dr. Daniel
Leitman. Dr. Leitman has been with the practice for 13 years,
following his two-year residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the
Bronx. The doctors and staff believe that by listening to each
patient’s needs, they can offer different treatment options so that
the patient can make an informed decision regarding their dental
health. This ensures that treatment is comprehensive and that every
step is understood by the patient. The office provides an
accommodating and caring patient environment where every type
of dentistry is performed. This includes cosmetic dentistry,
restoration of implants, pediatrics and Invisalign. Drs. Mason and Leitman also coordinate patients’ dental care very closely with the finest dental
specialists in the area. The office strives to work with patients and numerous insurance companies to best utilize available dental coverage and benefits.
They are located at 203 Bellevue Ave. in Upper Montclair with convenient parking in the rear of the building and handicap accessibility. The doctors
and their office staff are always available to answer questions and offer assistance with any of your dental needs. Dr. Mason’ s practice welcomes
patients of all ages and provides convenient hours including early morning and Saturday appointments. The office is open Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to
6 p.m.; Friday, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and every other Saturday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
