ENAMORED WITH ART AND MUSIC, DR. PHILIP ECHO CHOSE A CAREER
in dentistry instead where he could use his creativity to
help relieve pain and illness.
During dental school at the University of Medicine and
Dentistry of New Jersey, Dr. Echo had the opportunity to
experience different specialty rotations and became
captivated with the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
He subsequently went on to receive his specialty degree
from the University Hospital in New Jersey.
In an ongoing effort to provide the best possible care,
Dr. Echo is increasing his staff from four to six. The
practice maintains the latest in technology and has added a
3D dental cone beam scanner offering a state-of-the-art
way to plan out various types of surgeries including
implants ensuring less risk and a better final outcome.
Dr. Echo and his staff place a tremendous amount of
energy into superior service and the whole patient
experience. A state, national and international awardwinning photographer, Dr. Echo showcases his artistic
talent by displaying over 85 images throughout the office.
Each wall represents a collage of a different subject
including nature walls, pattern walls and even a 9/11
Memorial. “Art is a great escape from the rigors of
everyday life. It gives me great pleasure to share my
photography as a way to calm and relax patients or simply
reach out to those who appreciate art,” adds Dr. Echo.
“I particularly enjoy having past patients come by to see
my photos and catch up with families and old friends.”
Formerly in a practice in Montclair, Dr. Echo is now in a
solo practice at The Center for Oral & Maxillofacial
Surgery & Implantology in Nutley, NJ. “Having grown up
in Nutley, it is a pleasure to practice in a town that is near
and dear to me.” In addition, Dr. Echo is on staff at Clara
Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. Over the course of
his career, Dr. Echo was on staff at Mountainside Hospital
and served as Chief of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for
over 10 years.
Because of the emphasis on patient satisfaction, the
majority of the practice comes through patient referrals.
“I never lose sight of all those individuals who have put
their trust in my practice over the years and I thank you
for your continued confidence in our work. Nothing is
more gratifying than to relieve someone’s pain or suffering.
It is an honor and a privilege to work wi th our patients
and their families,” remarks Dr. Echo.
