This year, we highlight instructors who are especially beloved by their students. Of course, there are so many stellar educators in town that the piece could easily work as an annual feature; due to space restrictions, we must limit our “Unforgettable” teachers roundup to six. We also speak with Masiel RodriquezVars, who for the last year has served as executive director of the Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence, and essay coach Pat Berry, who runs the Montclair-based College Application Camp. But while this time of year brings to mind classrooms and homework, learning, of course, is a lifelong process – or as auto titan Henry Ford said, “Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at 20 or 80. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.” I love that my job gives me an excuse to ask questions of nearly anyone about nearly anything.
