I was listening to a podcast by Robert Reich the American economist, professor, author, and political commentator. He served in the administrations of three Presidents. He has the ability of deconstructing complex economic principles and theories. One statement he made was both profound and unsettling – The average income of American workers today is $44,500, the same average of American workers forty years ago when adjusted for inflation. One AHA thought I had as this statement resonated in my subconscious is that money management is even more important for students and all Americans. Strong money management skills will see students through the best of times. Conversely those skills will also see them through more challenging times. All students and our country will face more challenging financial and economic times in the future. For this reason the center is proud that its very purpose is to help all Eagles soar. We are here to help!
