MONASH BUSINESS MALAYSIA

FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL

As we look to the future, I’ m proud to share how the School of Business is shaping the business landscape in Malaysia and the Indo-Pacific region. Our next chapter demands bold thinking and deeper collaboration, from reimagining business education and conducting research that informs policy and practice, to building partnerships that drive meaningful change.

In today’ s fast changing business environment, business schools play a critical role not only in advancing knowledge, but in shaping the future of work, driving innovation-led growth and preparing the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders to thrive.
In 2024, we made meaningful progress. Our faculty advanced impactful research across areas such as ESG adoption, health financing, energy access, tech solutions for ageing populations, and the resilience of women microentrepreneurs. These efforts reflect our growing focus on an inclusive economy, and unlocking the potential of digital transformation.
We introduced new interdisciplinary programs, including Digital Business and Actuarial Analytics, strengthened our postgraduate offerings, and continued expanding professional development programs in partnership with industry. We are also proud to have successfully secured re-accreditation with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business( AACSB), reaffirming our standing among the world’ s leading business schools and our commitment to continuous improvement and furthering responsible management education.
This inaugural magazine offers a window into that journey, our aspirations and vision. More than a publication, it is an invitation for you, our esteemed stakeholders in industry, government, civil society and academia, to work with us in shaping the future of business education and research in the region.
Our focus continues to grow in key areas: FinTech and Artificial Intelligence, digital transformation and sustainable business, and strengthening community resilience. With renewed direction through our 2025 – 2026 strategic plan, we are well-positioned to meet the region’ s emerging needs.
Let us move forward together, to inspire new thinking, to co-create value for society and to nurture future-ready leaders who are guided by purpose, powered by insight, and prepared for tomorrow.
