LET'S GET CRAFTY
with Amy Korenman
glitter tube bracelets
You will need:
1/4” clear PVC vinyl tubing
3/8” clear PVC vinyl tubing
glitter
tape
glitter funnel
scissors
e6000 glue
How to:
1. Wrap tubing around wrist then add to length to ensure the bracelet can slip on and off easily. You will also need about an inch of 3/8″ tubing. I found the clear PVC tubing at Lowes for around 15 cents a foot. The glitter tubes and funnel are from Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores.
2. Use a small funnel to fill the clear tubes with glitter. My funnel was around the same size as the tubing, if you can try to find a funnel with a smaller tip than the tubing. Regardless of the size it was still easier and less messy to use the funnel than trying to pour the glitter any other way. You’ll want to tape off one end while filing the tubing with glitter.
3. Once your bracelet has been filled use e6000 or hot glue to secure the 3/8″ tubing to each side of the 1/4″ tubing. The glue will ensure the glitter stays in place even if the tubing opens. And then you’re done!
