thinking of moving?
Helpful Tips for getting ready for a new home by Kristen Raniere, currently building in Mallory Park
While some of us are thinking of selling our current home and buying a home, others are renting and thinking of what home to buy. Take the time to enjoy the tour of homes, even if you just want decorating ideas! During this time, home builders are having special events, showing their models, and some are offering significant money saving offers. A great place to start if you are interested in finding out about current model homes, and who will be building in future Lakewood Ranch areas is the Lakewood Ranch Information Center.
The LWR Information Center showed me where future construction will take place not only on homes, but for a movie theatre, restaurants and a future Main Street. I was also given a gift certificate to use on Main Street just by stopping in. If you are looking to buy a new home, it is important to know what will be built around your new home, such as parks, schools, etc.
Many of the new communities that are being built have numerous amenities such as a Resort Style Pool with Lap Lanes, Clubhouse with Community Gathering Room, State-of-the-Art Fitness Center, Catering Kitchen, Kids Play Area, Walking Trails, and more. While I was looking at building a new home, I had to make sure to research not only the model of home that would work best for my family, but the amenities that were important to us. It was extremely helpful having a realtor to help with this. Realtors know the inside scoop. They know which builders are offering incentives and can help you with the design center. When you visit the LWR Information Center, they will ask you to fill out a short information form and ask you if you are working with a realtor. It is helpful to have your realtor chosen before you shop.
Some of us while buying a new home, are also selling our current home. Here are some tips!
• Go you Lowes or Home Depot and buy paint off the clearance rack. If you
have to repaint your interior, you can often find a five gallon bucket of
neutral paint that will be on clearance.
• Have an inspection done before you list your home.
•
• Hire a pressure washer and have a deep cleaning done.
Enjoy house shopping!
