LAUREN & MCKINLEY'S JOURNEYS

Hello Friends,

I am happy to report not much has changed since Lauren's last update. We have had a pretty quiet month. No lumbar puncture last month so she only went to clinic for IV chemo. She will have a lumbar puncture in May as well as June. Lauren's counts have been holding steady so her dosing of nightly oral chemo has remained unchanged. I have a feeling they will increase her doses next appointment, since she has gained weight in the last few months.

Lauren was in a fashion show to raise money for pediatric cancer research last month at UTC. She had so much fun and we were so happy to be helping to raise awareness and funds for a great cause. She made me so proud!

Lauren's hair is slowly growing back and it is coming in thicker but the same color blonde. Sometimes strangers mistake her for a boy. She thinks it's hilarious to look in the mirror and put water in her hair and spike it up. I can't wait until it grows a little longer and we can start using hair accessories again.

We continue to be so thankful to be where we are today. It feels so much better than where we were a year ago. Thank you for all of your support as always.

xoxo,

Shawna
