MBZIRC - A $ 5M Autonomous Robotics Challenge
In 2015 representatives from Khalifa University in the United Arab Emirates reached out to the world with a challenge and 143 teams responded . Fast forward to March , 2017 and Virginia Tech is one of only 25 teams left standing . Between March 16 and 18 , they are in Abu Dhabi - waiting for their chance at robotics glory and a chance to earn the top prize . Read about the challenges they ' ll face on pages 12-17 .
