Local Memorial Hermann receives Magnet Recognition
For years , League City and its surrounding regions have been blessed with the high quality care provided by Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital . Such notable work does not go unrecognized .
This summer , Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital achieved Magnet recognition as a reflection of its nursing professionalism , teamwork and superiority in patient care . It ’ s one of the highest national honors for nursing excellence . The recognition was given by The American Nurses Credentialing Center ’ s Magnet Recognition Program , which recognizes organizations that meet phenomenal and rigorous standards for nursing excellence .
The recognition makes Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital ( which includes Memorial Hermann Pearland Hospital and Memorial Hermann Convenient Care Center in League City ) the only Magnet-certified hospital in Southeast Houston .
“ The Magnet Recognition Program designates organizations worldwide where nursing leaders successfully align their nursing strategic goals to improve the organization ’ s patient outcomes ,” said Noel Cardenas , Senior Vice President & CEO of Memorial Hermann Southeast and Memorial Hermann Pearland . “ Our goal is to provide the highest quality of care to our community and Magnet recognition helps to affirm that we are doing so .”
As Cardenas notes , such recognition shows the great work nurses and staff of Memorial Hermann perform on a daily basis , especially during the past 18 months of the COVID-19 pandemic .
“ This honor is tangible evidence of our nurses ’ commitment to providing the very best care to our patients ,” Cardenas said . “ We have a tight knit team between our two campuses and we will continue to pursue and maintain Magnet recognition well into the future .”
Memorial Hermann ’ s Magnet recognition makes it one of only a few U . S . health organizations that have achieved such an honor .
“ It ’ s a wonderful feeling that confirms the hard work of all of our nurses and frontline staff ,” Cardenas said . “ It ’ s worth noting that Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital includes Memorial Hermann Pearland Hospital and Memorial Hermann Convenient Care Center in League City , so this designation includes the nurses at all of those campuses . We are very proud .”
