DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE ?
Megan and eleven of her close friends are heading out to Cancun for her Bachelorette Party get away . Everything has been paid for the all-inclusive fivenight vacation . Bags are packed , and the ladies are ready to go . However , the weather is not being kind . Flights have been cancelled and delayed . A dozen disappointed gals sit in the airport hearing the news that their flight will not depart until the following day .
What to do ? What to do ? Luckily for all the ladies – except for one – purchased travel insurance . Everything will be covered for them , but for Karen , she is out a lot of money and not real happy .
With the purchase of the right travel insurance the party of ten will be covered for a hotel stay , compensated for their meals , the loss money paid for the missed night stay at the resort , and other minor expenses .

Depending on which plan you purchase these coverages can even cover a higher amount . You can also purchase coverage for “ Cancel for Any Reason ” when choosing which policy you want . Most all travel insurance policies need to be purchased within 14 days of initial deposit
Always read the travel insurance plan prior to your purchase , as some do have “ catches ” and only cover you from your home to the arrival of your destination and nothing thereafter .
Travel insurance can be purchased on a “ per trip ” policy , or if you have multiple vacations planned during a calendar year , you can purchase a policy to cover all the trips at once .
Check details with your Travel Advisor or with your personal health / home insurance company , as many offer travel insurance as well .
