As many of you know , October marks Cybersecurity Awareness Month and the beginning of the fourth and final quarter of 2023 . Thank you to everyone who celebrated our 15-year anniversary with us .
With respect to Cybersecurity Awareness Month , a cyber incident in your business isn ’ t a matter of if , but when , even if you ’ re the smallest business around . Many are now realizing that no one is too small ; everyone is a target . Recognizing what ’ s at stake , we actively collaborate with our clients on a recovery and “ keep working ” plan to execute in the event of a cyberattack .
We ’ ve had some great experiences working with our clients in conducting exercises where we discuss how they would respond to a cyberattack scenario . These exercises have proven incredibly valuable because , at times , it ’ s easy to overlook the crucial first step — reaching out to IT Radix ! This step is essential because , in the event of a breach , we can guide you on your potential obligations and risks .
If you have not yet walked through a hypothetical cyberattack , let this serve as a friendly reminder to identify your key players ahead of time , have their information on hand , and train your employees on how to respond , particularly in a remote setting where group knowledge is not readily accessible .

One last little reminder : if your cyber liability policy is up for renewal , please be sure to review the questionnaire with us or a qualified IT service provider before you submit it to your insurance provider . We ’ ve found many clients are not filling them out correctly , which could lead to risk exposure in the event of an attack . Reviewing your answers with us is quick , easy , cost-effective , and helps ensure you have the coverage you need .
