LETTER FROM THE EDITOR
Welcome ,
Friends and valued clients of IT Radix , welcome and thank you for picking up our next edition of Momentum NJ Magazine .
As I write this , we are entering a new year , and this is often the time of year for reflection . As such , I was recently asked to reflect on the key things that I have learned over the course of my 15-year journey in creating and managing IT Radix . It occurred to me as I pondered that question that many of the most important things I learned were very simple truths . The core of my answer centered around these three things : 1 ) overcome your fears , 2 ) be there , and 3 ) surround yourself with great people .
Fear holds so many of us back in life , and often the things we fear cause us to miss out on the great opportunities in life . Now when I feel uncomfortable or afraid , I remind myself to lean in and take a chance . Not everything has worked out , but the experience of overcoming my fear and trying something new is always worth it .
Be there for your customers . Being there consistently shows that you are one upon whom others can count , and it shows you care . Be there for your staff and your clients , in good times and in bad .
Surround yourself with great people and proactively hire those who think differently from you . Nothing is worse than a carbon copy of you to applaud your every move and thought . Surround yourself with others who are different and smarter than you and you will enjoy the dividends .
Of course , there were other things I learned over time , and many were much more specific . That is why I hope you enjoy
the many lessons in Part 2 of our editorial package about Items 6 through 10 from the Rockefeller Habits for business growth . The Rockefeller Habits are designed to help you focus on the things that matter to your growth and success .
Related to the topic of business growth is an article by Geoff Smart which does a great job of laying out how to reduce your own personal stress in business by reducing your priorities and focusing on building relationships within your business and outside of it to deliver your desired outcomes .
I also hope you enjoy our cover story about Nick Vujicic and how he overcame adversity by dreaming big . I think Nick would heartily agree that he learned the same lesson I did about overcoming your fears and bursting through obstacles .
Thanks so much for reading this issue of Momentum NJ Magazine . It is a pleasure to serve you in many ways , including through this publication . All of you are more than just readers and / or clients to me . You are my partners , my friends , and my inspiration . I enjoy working with you , and I learn something new from you every day . Your feedback , suggestions , and ideas are always welcomed and appreciated . I hope that you get as much joy and fulfillment from our work as I do . Let ’ s all continue to grow and succeed together in the future .
