MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT / CEO
Dear Chamber Family ,
Time has truly flown by as we now enter the fifth month of the year . This is a time in which spring begins to transition to summer . With the blooming of flowers and heat , so does the blooming and fire of so much both in and out of your chamber ’ s world .
I want to take the time to discuss something that has been on my mind : workforce development . As our community returns to normal after the devastating COVID-19 pandemic , I know many are hesitant to return to work for many reasons . However , I want to assure those out there that now has never been a better time to return to work and better their skills to ensure they can be employed . Your chamber is here to provide you with an array of resources that can ensure those unemployed will not remain unemployed for long .
May also brings the end of the semester of our community ’ s many amazing schools and the graduations of so many future leaders . I want to congratulate the graduates of the Spring 2021 semesters , including our chamber ’ s UHCL students Troylon Griffin II and Stephanie Masoud , who interned with us .
May of course is also the month of Mother ’ s Day and I for one cannot stress the importance of acknowledging the great work mothers do and have done to create the amazing leaders of our past , present and future .
Let us make May a month of only greater prosperity as summer nears , and we grow and shine like the sun of summer itself , all while staying Stronger Together .
