our portions are large and extremely tasteful . I love our shrimp and grits for sure !”
Young said Pinnacle Park is a beautiful location for businesses and restaurants , noting there are still open locations in the center for growing businesses to open . Young went on say why her cafe and other businesses join ( and why others should join ) their local chamber of commerce .
“ The League City Chamber has helped promote our business at many events , as well as give us the opportunity to be involved in sponsoring and giving back to the community ,” Young said . “ I participate with the young professionals group with the chamber are we are planning some community outreach events for all of the local businesses to get involved in .”
Chamber member Abuelos Mexican Restaurant is another popular restaurant in Pinnacle Park .
Abuelos opened in June 2018 . The restaurant is run by Kevin Condon . “ I would say I am quite blessed . I have a staff and team who are very dedicated ,” Condon said . “ My team is prepping fresh ingredients every day and they cook like they are cooking for their families . We have a really dedicated staff .”
Condon is proud of his restaurant ’ s food , noting its authenticity and heritage . “ Our recipes are authentic ,” Condon said . “ We are called Abuelos which is the Spanish word for Grandfather . The recipes come from our corporate chef ’ s grandfather . Those are his recipes .”
Condon said how most Mexican restaurants give only one cup of salsa but at Abuelos , customers are given four different cups of salsa . “ Many of our customers do not realize that Mexico has so many kinds of salsas to offer . If we are going to represent Mexico , we must truly show the variety its foods have to offer ,” Condon said .
In regards to joining the chamber , Condon says being part of the chamber is important because it is about supporting the other businesses in the area ,
member businesses and helping to have effective communication so we can learn together .
Fairfield Inn & Suites League City has proven to be one of the cities ’ most prominent hotels . Its Community Relations Manager Tejal Patel believes all businesses should join their local chamber .
“ When we joined as Fairfield Inn , the chamber was going through a transition period and we felt it was the perfect time to join as a Five Star member . We continue to believe in the vision and leadership .”
When asked about what she feels is the greatest benefit to being a chamber member , Patel said the chamber “ provides so many opportunities to network , meet other business owners , and gain knowledge .”
“ It is an incredible outlet to build professional , and even personal , relationships , which is one of the best benefits ,” Patel said . “ If you want to make more business contacts , gain referrals , increase visibility , or become more active in the community you serve , then this is why you should join your local chamber of commerce . At the same time , you have to understand that what you put in is what you put out . Sure , you can pay your membership dues , but the effort can not stop there . When you show up and become engaged with your chamber , you ’ ll get more than a return on your investment .”
Meador highly encourages the community to visit Pinnacle Park . “ If you haven ’ t been to Pinnacle Park , go and visit ,” Meador said . “ We are men of faith and have a high level of integrity and respect in our community , from our legislators , Scott Livingston , our chamber of commerce , and we are excited for further developments coming in the next five years .”
Meador also praised the businesses of Pinnacle Park , noting their resilience in the past few years in light of Hurricane Harvey , COVID-19 and other events . “ The tenants within Pinnacle Park have been extremely resilient ,” he said . “ It ’ s amazing to me their resilience and fortitude .”
Meador revealed this resiliency to be reason he is confident about the future of Pinnacle Park .
“ It ’ s nothing but up for the future ,” Meador said . “ I ’ m excited for future development and retail .”
