Shaping the Region’s Leaders
LEADERSHIP LACKAWANNA KICKS OFF 35 TH ANNIVERSARY
With an alumni base of more than
2,000 people, the name “Leadership
Lackawanna” has become synonymous
with high-caliber professional-
level leadership in northeastern
Pennsylvania. This year, the
organization is kicking off its 35th
anniversary by recognizing those who
helped mold the organization into what
it is today.
“Thirty five years ago, Leadership
Lackawanna was launched to create
a new generation of community
leaders, in the hopes of providing
more volunteers for community
organizations, social service agencies
and civic groups,” said Nicole
Morristell, director, Leadership
Lackawanna. “Today we have more
than 2,000
alumni and
have completed
more than 145
community service
projects. Our
alumni represent
our past, present,
and future. It’s a
proven fact they
carry the legacy
of Leadership
Lackawanna into
cities and towns
around the world.”
