More than 40 brick- and-mortar stores and more than 30 sidewalk artisans will participate. Food vendors and live music will also highlight the event. SkyZone Lackawanna College recently dedicated its new Sunbury Center, adding to the college’s northeastern Pennsylvania footprint. The college already has a main campus in Scranton, as well as satellite centers in Hawley, Hazleton, New Milford and Towanda. Events Staging Giordano Training Keystone College will develop a new commercial building complex on two parcels of land along College Avenue in Factoryville. The complex, located directly across from the college’s signature row of Victorian homes, will enhance the gateway to the campus, which is also being redeveloped thanks to a PennDOT streetscape grant. The new development will house commercial tenants, including the region’s first Steak n’ Shake national franchise restaurant, a Dunkin’ Donuts Express coffee shop, the relocation of Keystone’s Follett Campus Shop, a health and fitness center and a bank, still to be determined. Lackawanna College received the 2016-17 Employer of the Year Award from the Pennsylvania Federation of Business and Professional Women’s (BPW/PA) Club. The award is in recognition of the College’s employment, advancement, and recognition of women in the workplace. Fifty-five percent of Lackawanna College’s total current staff is comprised of women in a variety of roles, but women play a particularly prominent part in College leadership. All of Lackawanna’s academic division chairs, five of the eight members of the President’s Cabinet, and four of its five satellite center directors are women. BPW/PA is a statewide organization of more than 1600 members in 75 local organizations and 12 districts throughout the state. The organization is a leading advocate for working women in the Commonwealth focused on all issues that touch women’s lives and careers.
